All You Need To Know About Taj Mahal
To visit the Taj Mahal is everyone’s wish. And why shouldn’t it be, it is a place enlisted in the 7 Wonders Of The World, this place is also considered as a symbol of love in the history of Mughals.
I was also super excited to visit this place, but before visiting the Taj Mahal of course did some research on it. Reading some articles, watching some videos of the people who have shared their experience of what all happened with them when they had a visit to the Taj Mahal.
I would suggest all of you that you should know a few things about the place before you visit it. You should know the facts before you travel to the Taj Mahal. I really had a different experience when I went to the same place. I am sharing all the things that I experienced in my Agra trip.

Best Time To Visit Taj Mahal:
Early morning is the best time to visit the Taj Mahal. It keeps you away from heat, rush and helps you in capturing beautiful pictures.
Photoshoot during the sunset is also a good option to capture beautiful and attractive pictures.
We have no rush at the ticket counter when we visit the Taj Mahal early morning. We can take peacefully the inside Taj Mahal tour when we visit the early morning.
Talking about the climate, winters are best. It’s cold and we enjoy the tour, summers we get
Timings Of Taj Mahal:
Taj Mahal is open from sunrise to sunset. We can consider the Taj Mahal timings from morning 6.30 am to the evening at 6.30 pm. We can visit at any time of the day but prefer to go in the morning or evening.
Rush At Ticket Counter:
Each and every person must have made you aware of the rush at the ticket counter, but its myth.
Yes, we do have a rush at the ticket counter but not always. Many times especially early in the morning the ticket counter is not at all crowded.
Weekends are full of a rush by default, but again it is not the same case always.
Ticket Price At Taj Mahal:
The entry ticket of the Taj Mahal is 550 INR for Indians and 1050 INR for Foreigners.
Photography At Taj Mahal:
We can capture beautiful pictures at the Taj Mahal.
Especially when its early morning and during sunset, we get a beautiful view. For early morning photography, we have to rush to the Taj Mahal as early as possible.
The lawn in front of the Taj Mahal makes it more beautiful. We also have an attractive water fountain in front of the Taj Mahal. We have a great scope to take images and do a sexy photo shoot at the Taj Mahal.
Things To Carry When We Go To Taj Mahal:
It’s totally a myth that you will not be allowed to take anything inside the Taj Mahal. It is totally wrong.
Foreigners are requested to carry your passport when the visit the Taj Mahal.
Indians should carry local photo id prove with them to be on the safer side.
A bottle of water, a camera, a napkin, a scarf to cover your head can also be carried inside.
These basic things are allowed to take inside the Taj Mahal.
Eating and smoking prohibited inside the Taj Mahal. Arms, ammunitions, fire, smoking items, tobacco products, liquor, eatables (Toffees), headphones, knives, wire, mobile charger, electric goods (except camera) are also prohibited.
Select The Entry Gate Wisely:
We have 3 entry gates to enter the Taj Mahal, Agra. The Southern Gate, The Eastern Gate, and The Western Gate.
We can select any of the nearest gates to enter the Taj Mahal. Parking is available at East Gate.
Outfit To Wear At Taj Mahal:
Visitors do not have any restrictions about the outfit at the Taj Mahal.
But I personally recommend wearing something decent. We have many Non-Indians at the Taj Mahal who admires Indian outfit in India and would love to see the same way.
Wearing something comfortable is always good. The outfit in which you can take attractive pictures at the Taj Mahal and make your trip memorable.
Foot Wears To Wear At Taj Mahal:
We can wear any footwear from the main entrance gate of the Taj Mahal. Once we enter the Taj Mahal we have to remove the footwear and then enter the Taj Mahal.
The distance from the main entrance gate to the Taj Mahal is a little long, so I would once again say wear some comfortable footwear like flat belly shoes or sports shoes.
Shopping In Agra:
Agra is famous for Marble Craft and we have many market places to purchase them. We also get beautiful leather products in Agra. Leather jackets, shoes, belts, etc.
Market places in Agra like Sadar Bazaar, Subhash Bazaar, Kinari Bazaar, Shahganj Bazaar, etc.
Options To Stay When You Visit Taj Mahal:
We have many options to stay in Agra. Hostels, 3-star, 5-star Hotels.
Food To Eat At Taj Mahal:
Mughlai
Mughlai is a very common food and we get in many places. But Agra has its own unique taste and is very famous.
Pinch of Spice at 23/453, Mahatma Gandhi Rd, Wazirpura Road.
Shawarma
Shawarma chicken is what I loved a lot. It was really very yummy food which I tasted in Agra.
Mama Chicken Mama Franky located at Gopi Chand Shivhare Road, Sadar Bazaar, and Agra Cantt. It is open from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Culinary Junction By Udupi
It is a South Indian restaurant in Agra. We had our breakfast at this place and liked its taste. My inlaws also said the taste was delicious.

Be Ready To Get Separated From Your Travel Partner:
Yes, you read it right!
Taj Mahal is a place which is most of the time crowded, due to which you have chances to get separated from your partner or a group of people you have come with. So please keep your mobile phone handy and be prepared for it.
Also, take care of your belongings when you are roaming around near the Taj Mahal.
