People nowadays due to busy work schedule stay indoor and hence the exposure to the sunlight is almost finished.

And the small amount of exposure which we get in sunlight, that time also we use sunscreen and we stay away from vitamin D.

As people are nowadays in love with junk and unhealthy food. So we have reduced the intake of vitamin-rich food. As the intake of this unwanted unhealthy food is increased the weight gains and people become overweight and inactive.

Vitamin D consumed from sunlight and vitamin D rich food is not harmful. But when consumed in excess in the form of vitamin D supplement it creates the problem.

Excess of Vitamin D consumption can lead to Kidney failure or kidney related diseases. So be careful before consuming an excess of vitamin D

Hypercalcemia:

This is a very common thing which happens when the Vitamin D level increases in our body.

Hypercalcemia is the extra calcium in the blood. When there are more than 10,4000 ng/mL of calcium in the blood this takes place.

Having excess calcium in the blood can cause a wide range of complications and symptoms.

Lung damage:

If calcium salt deposits are present in the lungs, they can damage the organ’s function.

Lung damage symptoms are:

  • Coughing
  • Trouble breathing
  • Chest pain
Dehydration:

As the excess vitamin D in the body can slow down the functioning of the kidney. This may lead to the patient to pass extra urine which may lead to the dehydration. The patient may always feel thirsty or his mouth may become dry frequently.

Bone Pain:

As we know Vitamin D is very important for calcium absorption, and getting enough is a major factor for maintaining strong bones.

Although vitamin D is required for calcium absorption, high levels may cause bone loss by interfering with vitamin K2 activity.
